Top 5 Savannah Golf Courses

1. Bacon Park Golf Course

Designed by Donald Ross in 1926, Bacon Park has been the epicenter of Savannah’s golf scene for decades. This lush, 27-hole course features sloped greens, undulating fairways, and plenty of towering oak trees. It’s perfect for those who appreciate a challenge. Bacon Park also hosts charity golf tournaments, family nights, and junior golf events on a regular basis.

2. Henderson Golf Club

Henderson Golf Club has all the characteristics you expect of an old Southern golf course. Pristine wetlands, grand pines, and magnolia trees set the scene for a memorable golf experience. At this 18-hole championship course, golfers will find that the front nine rolls like a traditional links course, while the back nine offers tree-lined fairways in a beautiful natural setting.

3. Hunter Golf Club

If you’re looking for a course that’s close to the city, head to Hunter Golf Club. It’s located at Hunter Army Airfield in Midtown Savannah and offers great golf on beautiful greens. Plus, access to the Airfield is easy; simply enter the installation through the Montgomery Street gate and the guard will direct you to the golf course.

4. Crosswinds Golf Club

The open, parkland-style design of Crosswinds Golf Club is challenging and fun for golfers of all levels. A choice of five different tee combinations make this course ideal for both the occasional and avid golfer. Rolling Bermuda fairways, streams, ponds, and marshes, are sure to enhance your enjoyment of the game.

5. Southbridge Golf Club

Legendary architect Rees Jones designed Southbridge Golf Club, one of the most acclaimed Savannah golf courses. With well-maintained fairways winding through the dense woodland of south Georgia, you’ll never want to leave this breathtaking course.

Local Tip: Before you hit the links, pick up some new gear at the Southbridge Golf Shop. It’s stocked with an assortment of golf gear and equipment to help you look (and play!) your best. Or, stop by Vickery’s Restaurant for some delicious food and thirst quenching refreshments. Yum!
