Bundle up and head over to Tybee Island for a fireworks display like no other. The sky will be filled with an array of beautiful colors during Savannah’s fireworks show, which takes place at 11 P.M. at the Tybee Island Pier. Make sure to bring a thermos of hot cocoa to stay warm!

Another fun activity to consider is a classic Southern riverboat cruise. The Savannah River Queen and the Georgia Queen are two old-style stern wheel riverboats that tour the Savannah River from 9 P.M. to 1A.M. on New Years Eve. Guests aboard the boat can watch the fireworks show while they munch on a delicious Savannah style dinner and sip on cocktails. Dance the night away to live music. Historic River Street will be buzzing with excitement on New Years Eve! Celebrate the end of the year with Savannah’s 2nd Annual Up the Cup Countdown sponsored by Wet Willie’s Savannah! The thrilling celebration will take place on Rousakis Riverfront Plaza from 8 P.M. to 1 A.M. on Wednesday, December 31. This event will feature live music and the non-traditional “ball drop” with a Savannah twist! The “Up the Cup” countdown will start right before midnight, followed by a breath taking firework display to ring in 2015! This is how to spend a Savannah New Year’s Eve!
