About the Savannah Film Festival
What Is the Savannah Film Festival?
Every year, the Savannah College of Art and Design celebrates creativity with their annual Savannah Film Festival. Both professional filmmakers and students are represented across multiple venues. More than 50,000 people attend each year!
What You’ll See
The Savannah Film Festival hosts a number of events over the course of eight days. You’ll find everything from independent film screenings and workshops to panels, lectures, and exclusive receptions. There are also several honored guests who will be announced as the festival draws near. Honored guests from recent years include Alfie Allen from HBO’s Game of Thrones, Miles Teller from 2014’s critically acclaimed music drama Whiplash, and four-time Emmy and two-time Golden Globe winner Gena Rowlands. You never know who you might see! Check out the event page to see this year’s lineup.
Different tiers of tickets are available for purchase. Individual tickets to events can be purchased at the Savannah Box Office at the beginning of October. All other passes can be purchased online. Each pass is a different tier and have different perks; for example, some passes can assure you an assigned seat. Local tip: Passes are known to sell out very quickly, so get yours as soon as possible.
What If Tickets Are Sold Out?
If tickets to a particular event are sold out, there is still a chance you can get in. If a current ticket holder is a “no show,” waitlist tickets will go on sale at the door. You can always call the Savannah Box Office at (912) 525-5050 to check the availability of returned tickets.
