There’s no better way to experience Savannah during the holidays than by taking a classic trolley tour down the cobblestone streets. Throughout the tour, conductor elves will entertain and amuse guests with tales of holiday traditions as you pass by beautifully decorated historic homes and squares. The tour is offered 28 nights throughout November and December and includes stops at the historic Isaiah Davenport House and Savannah’s Westin Resort. Just before the evening ends, you’ll stroll through the area’s largest Gingerbread Village at the festively decorated Westin Savannah Harbor while enjoying a delicious holiday treat.
Savannah Boat Parade of Lights
Kick off the holiday season the right way by attending the annual Savannah Boat Parade of Lights on Saturday, November 28th, where you’ll see more than 60 stunning boats pass through the Savannah Harbor. After you’ve admired the Savannah Christmas lights, take a short drive to Tybee Island for the annual Lights on Tybee celebration. Tons of holiday decorations will dress up the nostalgic island as merchants light up their storefronts with colorful bulbs, handmade ornaments, and festively painted windows.
